Dr. Bill Plack was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1946. He attended and graduated from Mc Donogh School, McDonogh, Maryland, in 1964. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 1968 and from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1972. He was commissioned a captain in the United States Army Dental Corps in 1972, completing a rotating internship at Fort Jackson, South Carolina in 1973 and an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program (Two Years) at Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, Washington, in 1980. Dr. Plack achieved Diplomate status with the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry in 1984.Promoted to full colonel (06) in 1986, his last two assignments were Commander, United States Army Dental Activity, Fort Lee, Virginia and Director, Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program (Two  Years) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.   

 

He retired as a full colonel in 1992. Numerous military awards include the Legion of Merit (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Expert Field Medical Badge, Order of Military Merit, and the Surgeon General's "A" Professional Designator, the military equivalent of a full professorship in academia.

Dr. Plack has published numerous articles in various dental journals and has lectured extensively to local, state, national and international dental societies. He is a Diplomate of the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry and a Fellow in the International College of Dentists. After leaving the Army in 1992, he practiced general or family dentistry in Salisbury until 1996 when Snow Hill Dental Associates was opened. He is a member in good standing of the Eastern Shore Dental Society, the Maryland State Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He and his wife, Christine Corddry Plack have three children and live in Ocean Pines, Maryland.

Mastership Award

Dr. Plack received the Academy of General Dentistry's prestigious Mastership award during the convocation ceremony at the Academy's 45th annual meeting, August 2, 1990, in Chicago, Illinois. The Academy of General Dentistry is an international organization of +40,000 general dentists committed to continuing dental education in order to provide the best possible care to their patients. To earn the Mastership award, academy dentists must first acquire academy Fellowship status by passing a comprehensive examination and 500 hours of continuing dental education. Masters must then complete 600 additional hours, 400 of which must be fulfilled through participatory or "hands-on" courses in all 16 dental disciplines (see Links of Interest.)

Christine Corddry Plack, R.D.H.

 

 

Cris was born in Salisbury, Maryland, but lived in Snow Hill until age seven. Several members of her family were residents of the Snow Hill Community. She graduated from Temple University in 1967 and was the first registered dental hygienist in Worcester County. After a forty year career as a hygienist for several local dentists -she is now our office manager. Residing in Ocean Pines, Cris is married to Dr. Plack and together they have three children, David Scot, Lauren Elisabeth, and Lauren Ashley.

Janna Larson

Janna is one of our two business administrators. She was born and raised in Roundup, Montana, graduating from the Commonwealth/International University in 1999 with a degree in Business Administration. She moved to the Eastern Shore in 1999. Janna has been with our office since 2005. Married to husband, Jesse, and living in Greenbackville, Virginia, she has two children, Adrian and Natasja.

 

Kari Childs

Kari is one of our two business administrators. She was born and raised in Salisbury, Maryland, and completed the dental assisting course at Wor Wic Community College in 1996 and the radiology course in 1997. Kari has been with the practice since 2003. Married to husband, Matt, and living in Salisbury, Maryland, Kari has three children, Zackery, Ian, and Garrett.

 

Julie Mason Johnson, R.D.H.

Julie is one of our hygienists. She was born and raised in Snow Hill, Maryland. Receiving her certification in dental assisting in 1985, she graduated from Delaware Technical and Community College as a registered dental hygienist in 1989. Julie taught radiology at Wor-Wic Community College from 1990 to 1992 and has been an officer in the Community and Western Shore Dental Hygiene Association for the past 15 years. Joining our office in 2000, she lives in Salisbury, Maryland with her husband, Eric, and two children, Brandon and C.J.

 

Meredith Smith, R.D.H.

Meredith is one of our hygienists. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, graduating from Allegany Community College as a certified dental assistant and later as a registered dental hygienist. She moved to the Eastern Shore in 1982 and has been with our office since 2002. Meredith lives in Fenwick Island, Delaware.

Kimberly Ketterman, R.D.H.... .

 

Kimberly is one of hygienists. She was born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, graduating from the Medical University of Charleston with a B.S and from the University of Pennsylvania with her degree in hygiene. Kimberly moved to the Eastern Shore in 2006 and has been with our office since then. She lives with her husband and four children, Meghan, Erika, Brittany and Ryan in Ocean City, Maryland.

 Lynn Smith, R.D.H.

Lynn is one of our hygienists. She was born and raised in Middletown, Maryland, graduating from Alleghany Community College in 1974 as a registered dental hygienist. Moving to the Eastern Shore in 2004, she has been with us since 2006. Married to husband, Keith, she lives in Ocean Pines, Maryland, she has two children, Christopher and Daniel.

Adriann is our managing chairside dental assistant. She moved to Salisbury, Maryland in 1989, graduating from the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore, in 2004 with a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management. She completed the Dental Assisting and Radiology courses in 2007. Adriann has been with the practice since 2007. She lives in Ocean City, Maryland.

 

 

 

Ashley Hooper

Ashley is our chairside dental assistant. Born in Salisbury, Maryland, she entered the U.S. Air Force in 2006, serving as a dental assistant and "hygienist". Ashley fulfilled the requirements for radiology certification in 2009, joining our office this year. She lives in Pocomoke, Maryland.

Missy is our office mascot. All of our patient's know and love Missy. A lovable Shih Tzu, she was born in 2002 and attended Salisbury Obedience School for Dogs in 2003, but did not graduate. She has been with us ever since. She lives with Mommy and Daddy in Ocean Pines, Maryland.
